滑片泵主要由轉(zhuǎn)子、定子(即泵體)、滑片及兩側(cè)蓋板所組成。依靠偏心轉(zhuǎn)子旋轉(zhuǎn)時(shí)泵缸與轉(zhuǎn)子上相鄰兩葉片間所形成的工作容積的變化來(lái)輸送液體或使之增壓的回轉(zhuǎn)泵(見(jiàn)泵)。
轉(zhuǎn)子是具有徑向槽的圓柱體，槽內(nèi)安放滑片，滑片可以在槽內(nèi)自由滑動(dòng)。轉(zhuǎn)子偏心地安放在泵體內(nèi)，當(dāng)轉(zhuǎn)子由原動(dòng)機(jī)帶動(dòng)旋轉(zhuǎn)時(shí)，滑片依靠離心力或彈簧力緊壓在泵體的內(nèi)壁上。在轉(zhuǎn)子前半轉(zhuǎn)，相鄰兩葉片所包圍的空間逐漸增大形成局部真空而吸入液體。而后半轉(zhuǎn)，此空間逐漸減小，擠壓液體，將液體壓送到排出管中。根據(jù)滑片的安裝位置分有內(nèi)裝滑片泵(滑片裝在轉(zhuǎn)子上)和外裝滑片泵(滑片裝在泵體上)。一般這類(lèi)泵工作壓力在7MPa以下。
